Over the last week the Year Twos have been reading and thinking about the text ‘Hey, Little Ant’ written by Hannah Hoose and Phillip Hoose.
In the story, there is a conversation between a boy and an ant about whether the boy should squish the ant. They both give reasons that support their point of view and do their best to persuade the other to change their opinion.
Below are some images of the learning experiences we have had this week while looking closely at the text.
What do you think the boy should do?
What do you think was the most persuasive reason given by the boy or ant in the text?
Have you every tried to persuade someone in your family before? How did you persuade them?
